Sweet dreams form a shade O'er my lovely infants head. Sweet dreams of pleasant streams, By happy silent moony beams Sweet sleep with soft down, Weave thy brows an infant crown. Sweet sleep Angel mild, Hover o'er my happy child. Sweet smiles in the night, Hover over my delight. Sweet smiles Mothers smiles All the livelong night beguiles. Sweet moans, dovelike sighs, Chase not slumber from thy eyes, Sweet moans, sweeter smiles, All the dovelike moans beguiles. Sleep sleep happy child. All creation slept and smil'd. Sleep sleep, happy sleep, While o'er thee thy mother weep Sweet babe in thy face, Holy image I can trace. Sweet babe once like thee, Thy maker lay and wept for me Wept for me for thee for all, When he was an infant small. Thou his image ever see. Heavenly face that smiles on thee. Smiles on thee on me on all, Who became an infant small, Infant smiles are his own smiles, Heaven & earth to peace beguiles.

(Begin and end with current season) Sleep my child, it’s spring again, The air is fresh with gently falling rain The earth is stirring, hear the sound Of Nature pushing up through the ground So sleep, my child, while falling rain Tells us that it’s spring again. Sleep, my child, this summer eve, While young leaves lightly flutter in the breeze, And birds fly off to where they go When the sun is low and the summer winds blow. So sleep, my child, this summer eve While warm winds gently flutter through the leaves Sleep, my child, while autumn air Blows through trees, stark and bare The summer leaves are yellow and brown, It’s time for the fields to lie down on the ground And go to sleep while autumn air Blows through trees just standing there. Sleep, my child, this winter night. The sky is dark, but the ground is white, The fire inside, burning bright Will keep you warm all through the night So sleep, my child, this winter night Sleep until the morning light.

Rise little Luna and join the dance The world is ready to put on a show The plants and animals wait for their chance To teach you all of the things you should know. Mama and Papa will teach you this tune So you can dance all night under the moon. The rooster will teach you to walk with style The chickens will teach you to hunt for bugs The cat will teach you to sleep for awhile The dog will teach you to give licks and hugs Papa will teach you to build your own room Mama will teach you to dance on the moon. The bees will give you their precious honey The mice will give treasures from their nest The trees will give shade when it’s hot and sunny The grass will give you a place to rest Papa will take you camping in June Mama will teach you to dance on the moon. The otters will teach you to play all day The beavers will teach you to swim at night The squirrels will teach you to chatter away And jump from limb to limb without fright Papa will teach you to fish the lagoon Mama will teach you to dance on the moon. The bears will teach you to find the berries The birds will teach you to sing their songs The frogs will show you the way to the fairies Where You’ll be invited to sing this song Papa will teach you to howl like a loon Mama will teach you to dance on the moon. The garden will teach you to grow up strong As round as a cabbage, as tall as the corn As pungent as garlic that grows all along The path by the berry patch where you were born. Papa will teach you to draw the moon With Mama and you dancing to this tune.
